Nexium Control Gastro-Resistant Patients
The Nexium Control is a 24 hour 24 mg capsule, gastro-resistant capsule with a delayed-release capsule. It is available in two strengths of 24 mg and 168 mg, and the other 10 mg. The capsule is coated with the active ingredient esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate to ensure consistent absorption. It is recommended to take one capsule four times a day with each main meal, at approximately the same times each day, and no earlier than 24 hours after each main meal. If you have frequent heartburn, take two capsules four times a day with a meal. Take the capsule once daily and not to exceed four capsules in 24 hours. If you have heartburn for more than 24 hours, do not take the capsule. Swallow the capsule whole with a drink of water.

Do not use Nexium Control: -If you are allergic to esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate, or any of the ingredients of this medication, or any of the ingredients of any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. -If you have an allergy to any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. -If you are taking any of the medicines listed at the end of this leaflet. -If you are a patient with a history of ulcers, bacterial enteritis, perianal pain, or pain after a gastro-intestinal infection. -If you have an allergy to any of the ingredients in this medication. -If you are a patient with a history of peptic ulcers. -If you are a patient with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding. -If you are a patient with severe liver disease or severe kidney disease. -If you are having surgery to remove a gastro-resistant capsule. -If you are being treated for frequent heartburn. The active ingredient in Nexium Control is esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate. Treatment with esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate is not recommended for patients with these conditions. Patients with these conditions may have persistent or severe heartburn. Patients with frequent heartburn are recommended to take esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate capsules four times a day to maintain their heartburn-free status.
